Nahno
McLein was born in Berlin on a stormy Mai day. He grew up in Prenzlauer Berg,
where he visited the primary school that was named after Edgar Ende during his
attendance. Due to that event, his class conducted a workshop in honour of the
German surrealist painter and his son, the author Micheal Ende. A
series of short stories were created, inspired by the paintings of Edgar Ende;
Nahno chose a unicorn carrying a mysterious baby in front of a star illuminated
universe.
This
appears to be the beginning of his writer career, leading to many events
furthering his ambition to bring words to paper, whether in German or English.
Later, from
2001 onwards, he attended the Käthe-Kollwitz Gymnasium, where his outstanding
achievements, which nobody had anticipated, least his father, pushed him into
the direction where he experimented with the art of writing. Thanks to specific
influences, including teachers such as Mrs. N., Mrs. Sch. and Mr. Fr., could he
transform his writing into an editable collection full of fantasy and
self-exploration. Supportive friends like Susan, Anja, Juliane and Georg have
contributed enormously to the process and cannot be left unnamed.
In 2006,
he left Germany to go to Florida, USA as an exchange student, staying at Pompano
Beach with Tony and Dwaine. The couple reassured him in his self-consciousness
and provided him with extraordinary experiences, helping him to establish new
skills.
After a
two year education back in Berlin, he managed to pass his Abitur (similar to
A-Levels) with highly notable success. Following, Nahno served his country for
nine months as a hospital inventory, delivery and summing up all-purpose worker.
The
internalization of the English language was just one of the things which
prepared him to dare a difficult and strenuous educational path, studying at
DeMontfort University in Leicester, UK. There, he explores the art of writing
in unison with film studies from 2009 until 2012. He contributes to the
pleasure of readers by publishing his work on his blog and his website,
gathering experiences and pieces to enlighten his supporters.
